The decision of the United States to consider the relations with South Africa, through the United States South Africa Bilateral Relations Review Act of 2025, and imposing a sanction against the Leaders in the African National Congress, should not come as a surprise. This Bill has now passed and has approval of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. However, in order for it to be an Act, it should still pass through the House of Representative, and later the Senate before President Trump can sign it into law.
